Tonight we packed up and sent off our final wedding of the season. Our final wedding of forever! So, it’s now time to say goodbye 🖤

I can’t quite put into words just how thankful I am for the many connections that have been made and it’s nearly impossible to express just how grateful I am for each of you that rooted us on and supported this little dream. You all are the best!

We are moving on to the next chapter that’s already been perfectly planned and written for us 🖤

35 Days To Go!!!

We have been doing a little countdown until the end of our 2021 wedding season. Maybe even doing a happy dance as the finish line gets closer and closer. Guys, the last year and a half has been HARD!

The end of this season is different than years past…for us it also will mark the end to this beautiful journey. While I’ve been celebrating this and anxiously awaiting November 21st…today felt a little bit different.

I had to pause and reflect as my clients drove away…the sweetest bride and her Dad. I realized just how much I’m going to miss these connections.

It’s beginning to feel more real as the one month away mark draws near. I know that our final wedding, the end of wedding season, and this final goodbye is going to be bittersweet.

I’ve truly met so many amazing people and I thank every single one of you for being a part of this story 🖤

We have a great group of women following our page! So, we decided to take this opportunity to use our page as a platform to raise awareness and educate! October is breast cancer awareness month so we want to remind each of you to remember your at home self exams and to get your annual exam and mammogram! Early detection is key 💕

Last night and most of this evening I spent hours scrubbing dried cake and icing off of cake stands, removing glue dots (and the impossibly sticky residue they leave behind) that a florist decided to use on our harlow stands, washed and cleaned 100’s of cylinder vases that had wax and smoke residue on the rims at return, AND…the cherry on top…removed screws that someone decided to insert into one of our backdrops.

Does anyone else see what’s wrong with this picture??? I can’t even with some of this 🥺

While the majority of our experiences are positive…sadly nothing really surprises me anymore.

To those of you who have rocked the “rental” process and remembered what the word “rental” meant…thank you for taking care of our decor and being awesome!

One of my favorite things has always been seeing and sharing all of the gorgeous photos that begin to roll in after events. I love watching design ideas and inspiration come to life with our pieces. It truly never gets old when it all comes together… We have been so fortunate to be a part of many beautiful weddings over the years.

Here is one of our latest! Isn’t it perfect?!?! Our boxwood never fails!

I am sure going to miss this part 💗

9/11…20 years ago. A day I will never forget. At 20 years old and having lived a safe and sheltered life…it was the first time in my life that I truly felt scared. That I truly understood terrorism. That I feared for our country and it’s people. Each year I watch videos and memorials. Each year I learn of something new…of another hero. Today I learned about “The Boat Lift” and shared it in my stories. Take the eleven minutes to watch this…it’s amazing. I also learned about “The Teardrop Memorial”…what a beautiful gift to the US from Russia…a day when the entire world cried tears for us. We must never forget history 🇺🇸

Memorial Fund For Lilly Atkins, organized by Trisha Hardy-Atkins

This week we will lay to rest my sister-in-law, Jessica Atkins (45), who passed away after a short battle with cancer. She leaves behind two daughters (Cassi age 21 and Lilly age 10) as well as a granddaughter (Anova age 1).

The most heartbreaking part of this story is the fact that Cassi and Lilly slowly lost their mother long before cancer took her from them. A repetitive cycle of drug abuse, mental illness, and poor choices stole their mother away little by little. A life with CPS in and out of the picture and without a solid father figure. A life of suffering and one of constant struggle that robbed her daughters of their childhood, their innocence, a proper education, and all of the opportunities that should have been. These girls were failed time and time again.

What addicts don’t realize is that their decisions have a lasting trickle effect. Her most important responsibility (to raise her children) fell to the wayside as drugs became the priority. While drugs became her priority, what should have been her most important responsibilities (the girls), fell onto the shoulders of my mother-in-law off and on throughout the years.

We hear stories like this far too often. Stories of addiction and heartbreak. Stories of grandparents raising their grandchildren because the parents have been consumed by a life of drugs. Stories that will forever impact and alter entire family units.

BUT even after all of this…she was still a mother, daughter, and a sister. There are still good memories to be found. There is still hurt and heart ache. There is still love.

If you ask the girls none of this makes the pain of losing their mother any less. It’s just one additional battle wound they have added to their already bandaged hearts. They have had to be little survivors their entire lives.

I share their story (with permission) to help raise awareness of the horror story called addiction and how it breaks entire families. Addiction not only robs the addict of the life that could have been…it robs their loved ones of what should have been.

I share to hopefully reach even one person that needs help and doesn’t want to continue on this path. There is help available. You matter. You don’t have to live like this. Your children don’t have to suffer like this.

I share to ask that you remind your children to always be kind to others…you really never know what another child has endured or is going through. Lilly is a perfect example. She shows up to school everyday as a kind, sweet girl with a smile on her face. Her walk could be described more as a happy skip…but we know that hidden beneath all of this is a fragile heart that has been broken over and over again.

I had a friend say this… “I hope they can find peace in knowing she can no longer suffer on earth because it seems that’s what her life was. Constant suffering.” How very sad and true…

We know that in time and with lots of love and support the girls will begin to heal again. They are survivors. Please keep them, along with my mother-in-law, in your prayers.

In lieu of flowers a go fund me account has been setup for her 10 year old daughter, Lilly Atkins c/o Vicky Christian. Vicky (her grandmother) will be adopting Lilly and is currently battling ovarian cancer herself. We are working on setting up a memorial fund for Lilly at a local bank but are unable to do so until we can obtain her social security number and a certified death certificate. We will update this page with that info once an account has been established. We are in hopes that any donations raised will help alleviate financial stress that may arise due to the circumstances.

If you or someone you know is struggling with substance abuse please call SAMHSA’s national hotline for 24 hour support, treatment referral, and resources at: 1-800-662-HELP

It’s that time of year again… we are getting multiple booking inquiries for next season.

Therefore, we thought it was an appropriate time to announce that we have decided that this will be our final rental season and we will not be opening our booking calendar for 2022. Our final event will be November 20th, 2021.

This is a bittersweet ending to a fantastic story that we have so lovingly and successfully created over the last several years! I can’t put into words how much I will miss the wonderful clients and vendors that I have had the pleasure to get to work with and know. Helping you create a beautiful and affordable wedding day was always our goal and we will go out knowing that we did just that!

As many of you know (or may have read on a recent post) life has thrown us some obstacles and prioritizing our family and time has become #1. So, while we will miss this adventure that has been an absolute blessing to our family…we are also looking forward to new adventures and being able to spend extra and intentional time with one another.

We thank each of you for your business and referrals! Every single one of you have helped to build and sustain this little dream of mine. As they say…all good things must come to an end…but I am so excited to know and trust that God has a perfect plan already laid out for us and that with every ending there is a beautiful new beginning 🖤

Love when our couples pop up on FB! Peep our triangle arch in this sneak peek photo gallery! Can’t wait to share more from this wedding…she lined her aisles with our boho vases and then repurposed and paired the ceremony arch with our farmhouse table for the perfect backdrop to their sweetheart table 🖤

What an absolutely AMAZING day!! I've known Briee for years through so many different people, and back in 2019 when I was just getting started in weddings, Briee asked me to capture hers!! Thanks to COVID, it was delayed, but over the weekend Briee & Matt had a beautiful and intimate ceremony in an amazing rustic building with all the decorations made by Briee herself! I am absolutely amazed at these two, but so obsessed with their love and joy with one another. Congrats for finally getting to say "I do"
