1. Leave time between transitions e.g. leave at least 30 mins between the wedding party and the grand entrance at the reception.

2. Invest in a good photographer - These photos and your memories are all you will carry with you from the wedding.

3. Involve your partner in the planning - don't feel like you have to make all the decisions, ask your future spouse what they think and let them take charge of a few things.

4. Critically think about your wedding timelines - this will help you narrow down what your priorities are and help you stick to your budget.

5. Don’t forget what’s important - wedding planning can be stressful so take a step back from time to time and remember that you are marrying the love of your life!

Pan-seared Alaskan caught salmon over mashed potatoes and asparagus topped with pickled relish and yum yum sauce. We also prepared Aunt Mimi’s homemade cheesecake. Thank you Events at The Summit (Gen-D) for allowing us to cook for the National Coalition. People getting seconds is the most rewarding. 😁💚✌️

4. Skip the fancy invitations and postcards

Due to extreme temperatures on Wednesday (01/30), The Summit will have limited staff onsite, but the campus will remain open. If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call our main line at 260.446.3200. Stay warm!
We would love to see you be a part of this year's Family Summit. Here are a few ways you can play a big role in this year's event: 1. Consider being an exhibitor and sharing how you are supporting parents and families. We still have a few exhibit tables remaining for this year's Family Summit. 2. Please share The Family Summit website through your social media accounts, email distribution, and organizational newsletters. You can refer people to: https://thesummitfw.com/programs/family/. 3. Encourage parents, grandparents, and guardians you serve to register and assist them in registering online. If they can't afford the $10 ticket (for lunch), please contact us at [email protected] and we will grant them a scholarship ticket to attend. 4. CEUs for mental health professionals, foster parent training hours, and Professional Growth Points for education professionals are all available at the registration table during the Family Summit. Please attend and encourage your colleagues to attend. This year's event will be a great resource to professionals, as well as, parents. The Family Summit is a wonderful example of what is possible when multiple partners collaborate together for a thriving community. I hope to see you next Saturday, October 14th!
