ISO UPRIGHT FREEZERS

I’m experimenting with an idea to build some small stand alone fruiting chambers and am trying to keep my costs as close to zero as possible since I’m not sure if my idea will even work. If I’m successful I hope to be able to grow some new mushroom varieties that my current growing methods don’t allow.

I’m looking for anyone in Salt Springs or the immediate area that’s planning on disposing of a non-functional (or functional, repairable) single door, upright freezer, 18 cubic feet or above preferably with good door seals. I see them at the dump all the time but they don’t let you take them from there. I would be willing to trade some fresh gourmet mushrooms if you like when my fall crop starts flushing in a few weeks. Unfortunately for me my truck is currently out of commission so I am unable to pick up at this time but if you or someone you know is already hauling one to the dump you could just drop it off at the farm instead. For now I could use at least two or three and possibly more in the future.

If my experiment fails no harm done, I’ll just haul what ever I get donated to the dump myself.

If you have something like this and you’re interested in helping me out text me at (352) 239-3837 and let me know. If possible I’d like to come look at what you have to be sure it’s suitable for my purposes.
