Come out and say Howdy!
Today 1-5
Frijol Picante is here with some tips for when you alpaca your bags for tomorrow's Alpaca Beach Party - Celebration of Life, Nature, Animals, and Connection Al!
- Bring a towel and/or extra set of clothes
- Dress comfortably instead of fashionably and you'll have more fun
- Wear a hat to help protect from the sun, sunglasses, and/or sunscreen
- Pack water so you can spend your money on fun stuff instead of water bottles (snacks & small coolers are allowed)
- If you're elderly and don't get around well or handicapped and it looks like there is no close parking, please let someone at the gate know and we will find a closer spot for you to park
- Please remember we don't open until 1pm, so the gates will be closed until then. If you arrive before the gates open, you can park along the road. Sometimes the parking inside the gates gets full and people have to park along the road anyway.
- not everyone accepts credit cards, so don't forget to bring cash
- No dogs or pets whatsoever, not even service dogs
- No smoking. If you need to smoke, please go outside the gates.
- No chasing the alpacas. Please be sure to let everyone in your group know to not chase the alpacas.
- Alpacas are like an introverted human mixed with a cat, they like to get to know you on their own terms. If you insist on petting them before they trust you, they will run away from you and continue to avoid you for the rest of the day. The less you want to pet them, the more they will come up to you and learn to trust you.
We are so excited to see everyone tomorrow! The 19th Hole - Caddy Shack food truck and Just Poppin Kettle Korn will be here with food and drinks, please support them so they keep coming back. We have a great line up of artisan vendors too, make sure to check them out! Quesal Puppet Troupe will be performing at 2pm and The Toddy Pop Company will be entertaining and balloon twisting throughout the day. Rising Moon Natural Healing will be doing sound sessions in the weanling pasture at 1pm and 3pm, each session is approx. 1 hour. The weanling pasture will be closed to the public until 4pm, only people who sign up for the sound sessions will be allowed in before then.
