Supporting local doesn’t just mean businesses, it also means the next generation too. 🌺

We saw a post about a children-run agua fresca stand on the Lovelanders page, and we immediately jumped in the truck and headed over. We love seeing young entrepreneurs out there sharing their culture and learning the vendor life, and we were beyond honored to show up to support them.

And we have to say, your horchata was SO GOOD!!! Thank you for being so kind and Rafa and I loved meeting your family. Lots of love and respect to the parents for supporting your kids and helping them run their stand! These are the things they will remember forever!

Cantaloupe season is finally here and our Agua de Melón was a hit this past weekend! If you didn’t know, Melón season is only about 6-8 weeks long and we will be offering it as much as we can while the Melóns are ripe! 🍈🧡

The Fourth of July feels a little bit more complicated for a lot of people this year.

No matter where we come from or what we believe, many of us are carrying a mix of pride, hope, concern, gratitude, and uncertainty. Those feelings can all exist at the same time.

But one thing we love about community events like today is that they remind us of what brings us together. Families coming together, kids laughing in the park, neighbors meeting neighbors, and thousands of people celebrating side by side. Moments like these remind us that community is built one conversation, one act of kindness, and one shared experience at a time.

Our country’s story has never been about perfection. It’s been about people believing tomorrow can be better than today, standing up for the rights and dignity of one another, and continuing the work of building a more just future. That work doesn’t start or end on the Fourth of July, it continues every day.

As a small family business, we’re committed to doing our part to help build that brighter future, one where the promise of liberty and justice for all is something we continue striving toward together. We believe the strongest communities are built when everyone feels welcome, valued, and cared for.

Today we are celebrating that commitment at City Park and we’d be honored to be a small part of your celebration. We’ll be serving fresh, authentic aguas frescas from 12:00 PM–9:00 PM right off of Sheldon Ave!

Two weeks ago, our nephews asked us,
“Tío, can we go to work with you?”

And we answered immediately with a yes!

This weekend at Highlands Street Fest, they got to experience firsthand what a family business looks like. They took orders, handed out samples, greeted customers, and became some of the best sales people we’ve ever hired. They were beaming with excitement and loved upselling FoCo Loco style. One customer even said, “This is the best interaction I have had all day!”

To everyone who stopped by our booth, thank you for your patience, encouragement, and kindness toward our little helpers. You made them feel important, confident, and included. Those small moments mattered so much to them.

Thank you to all of our Denver friends and family who came out to support us and made our Denver debut feel extra special.

A huge thank you to our family as well for helping throughout the day, taking the kids around the festival, making sure they got time to enjoy the kids area, and letting them experience the fun side of the event too.

What made this weekend even more special was watching our niece and nephews build confidence right in front of our eyes. Learning how to find their voice. Learning that customer interactions are about building rapport. Learning how to handle rejection, keep smiling, and try again. Learning responsibility, teamwork, and pride in the work they are doing.

These are the kinds of memories that stick with you forever.

Family businesses don’t just serve communities. They help raise the next generation.

And for three very special children, we hope this weekend becomes one of those core memories they’ll carry with them forever. ❤️
