There’s something really special about the kind of day that feels stress-free, meaningful, and completely full of love—and that was exactly the vibe for Ashley and Nic’s elopement.
They brought their son, Phoenix, and two of their best friends. The second we hit the trail, it was all laughs, wildflowers, and that giddy kind of energy that only happens when people are really, really excited to get married.
The weather danced between light rain and stillness, and the trail had just enough mud to give Ashley’s dress a little elopement ombré.
I’ve hiked to Lake Isabelle more times than I can count, but this day had a different kind of magic. The clouds hugged the mountains, the vegetation felt extra alive, and the lake reflected it all like a mirror. It was quiet, calm, and full of meaning. It truly felt like the mountains were leaning in to witness something beautiful—just for Ashley and Nic.
Their ceremony was so full of heart—officiated by their close friend, with Phoenix watching it all unfold. There were happy tears, hugs, and that beautiful kind of quiet you get when you’re somewhere sacred with the people you love.
This is what I love most about elopements: they’re real. They’re personal. And they give couples space to just be. No pressure, no expectations—just pure joy, connection, and intention.
If Ashley and Nic’s elopement inspires you, if you’re dreaming of a day that’s simple, real, and wildly full of love…let this be your gentle nudge. The mountains are calling and they’re so ready to witness your story.
