Do I need a day of coordinator if I have a venue coordinator?

This is one of the most common questions I receive! A venue coordinator focuses on the venue itself: access times, venue policies, staff coordination, catering logistics, and venue-specific operations. A wedding coordinator focuses on the entire wedding: managing the timeline, coordinating vendors, directing the wedding party, overseeing setup details, handling unexpected issues, and making sure your vision is executed smoothly. Both roles are valuable, but they serve different purposes. Think of a venue coordinator as the venue’s representative and a wedding coordinator as your personal advocate and logistical partner.

Allow me to reintroduce myself🤪🦋

Hi!! I’m Sammie — the owner behind Sammie Mae Event Co.

A few things about me:
I’m a mama to my sweet two-year-old daughter, who is truly my mini me and built-in best friend 🫶🏼 We spend most of our time out in the community doing things like Mom Walk, Work & Wonder, gymnastics, and farm class. I absolutely love raising her in a community like Fenton and supporting other local, women-owned businesses whenever I can!

When I’m not planning weddings, I’m probably finding new ways to save money for my family (which honestly translates into helping my brides make smart wedding decisions too 👀), rewatching early 2000s TV shows, or embracing all things cozy.

As much as I love summer, I’m definitely a fall girl at heart 🍂 Also, I’ll take Michigan winters, warm blankets, wool socks, candles, and a cozy night in any day.

Another tip: make sure you count stamps based on household, not per individual. If you are planning on sending thank you cards or bridal shower invites as well, I would recommend you snag stamps at this lower price!
