Well… hi again, Facebook👋🏼 It’s been a minute. 😂
September is basically the new June in Michigan when it comes to weddings, and I have officially hit my **SIXTH weekend in a row of weddings**. I’m currently headed into another one, with a wedding booked every weekend through September and into mid-October when things finally start to slow down a little.
So yes… I’ve been a little MIA on here. But behind the scenes, Sammie Mae Event Co. has been growing in ways I couldn’t have imagined when I started this business.**
And that brings me to this little vision board. ✨
One of my biggest goals moving into 2027 and beyond is building Sammie Mae into the business I’ve always pictured it becoming — and that means admitting when something in the business needs more attention.
Social media has been one of those things.
Could I use ChatGPT to make my graphics, write my captions, plan my content and make social media easier and cheaper? Absolutely.
But I’ve been listening.
I’ve heard my clients. I’ve listened to other wedding professionals. And I’ve realized that people don’t necessarily want to see another perfectly polished, AI-feeling business page. They want **real weddings, real advice, real behind-the-scenes moments, real personality and a real person behind the business.**
And I want that for my business, too.
So instead of continuing to let social media sit on the back burner while I’m busy taking care of my couples, I’ve been working behind the scenes to find someone who can take over our social media management and help us show up here **consistently, intentionally and in a way that actually feels like us.**
And that’s not the only growth happening.
I’ve also been working on a little rebrand — aligning our aesthetics, our messaging and the overall vision for where Sammie Mae Event Co. is headed.
AND…
I’ve been working on bringing **two lead coordinators and an assistant coordinator!!! under my wing so that we can take on more couples, serve our clients even better, and hopefully stop having to turn couples away simply because I can’t physically be in two places at once.
That part is scary.
Because for a long time, it was just little old me doing all the things behind the scenes AND showing up on wedding days.
Hiring people. Delegating. Building a team. Letting someone else represent the brand I’ve poured so much of myself into…
It’s a BIG leap of faith.
But the growth and opportunities this year are something I genuinely could not have imagined when I started Sammie Mae Event Co.
And somehow, the dreams I had for this business are unfolding AHEAD of schedule🥹
So while this next season feels a little scary, it also feels really, really exciting.
I feel incredibly lucky to get to build this business, serve so many amazing couples, and watch something that started as a dream turn into something so much bigger than me.
This industry is tough. But so am I💪🏼
