🌿 Mike’s Must Haves are back for August! Here are a few of Mike’s favorite plants and picks for the late-summer garden.
🌸 Hydrangeas
Easy to grow, hardy, and absolutely stunning in bloom, they are a garden favorite for a reason. They come back each year, growing bigger and more beautiful with time. We’ve got plenty of varieties, but some of our favorites are the classic Pinky Winky, Popstar, and Little Lime Punch
🌿 Mountain Mint
This tall perennial blooms in August and is a favorite among pollinators. Even better, it attracts beneficial parasitic wasps that help keep unwanted insects in check
🪻 Lobelia
A beautiful Maine native, this plant is best known for it’s red variety, but comes in others like this striking blue one. It’s a reliable flowering plant perennial that adds rich color to your garden.
🌺 Hibiscus
From Tropical Hibiscus to it’s cousin, Rose of Sharon, these plants bring bold color and height to your garden. Their punchy blooms make a statement throughout August.
