Here's the thing about running a wood flower business: most people in your life probably have NO IDEA what you actually do. You can try to explain it at Thanksgiving, but Aunt Harriet will still be confused.

Wood Flower Happy Hour exists because there are people out there who do get it. They know what it's like to build something from scratch with their hands. They've had the 2am "why am I doing this" moment and showed up anyway. They have opinions about dye ratios and suggestions about client communication and they are, genuinely, rooting for each other.

Every Tuesday at 8:30pm ET, wood flower business owners from all over the country hop on a Google Meet call and just ... talk. Some weeks it's about accountability, some weeks it goes deep on a specific topic, some weeks it's just "here's my win, here's where I'm stuck, somebody help." The wood flower industry is being built by people exactly like the ones in this room.

You don't have to be established to show up. You just have to be serious about the work.

Hi Flower Friends!

For those of you who have been at Wood Flower Florists Wood Flower Happy Hour lately, you already know that an in-person WFF Retreat is starting to develop.

Here is the skinny thus far:

This year, we’re approaching the Wood Flower Florists Conference & Retreat a little differently.

Over the years, many of you have asked about virtual options, and in 2026 we’ll be incorporating new ways to learn and connect online. At the same time, we know that one of the most meaningful parts of WFFC&R has always been being together in person, sharing space, having honest conversations about work and life, and connecting in ways that just don’t happen on a screen.

Because of that, we’re exploring an in-person retreat that’s intentionally more relaxed and grassroots in nature.

This is not a heavily programmed or polished event. Instead, we’re envisioning a casual gathering centered on connection, camaraderie, and community. Time to talk, to listen, to laugh, and to be together. There may be opportunities for optional, lightly guided conversations: think round-table style discussions around shared topics or challenges. We’re also imagining space for creating together, bringing along extra supplies, odds and ends, and simply enjoying the process of making for the sake of making.

Before moving forward with planning, we want to understand interest.

The attached Google form is only to gauge interest. There is no obligation to attend by filling it out. Your responses will help us decide what’s possible and what makes the most sense for our community this year.
