Hi hi hi! I’m back and we are cranking out Fallston hoco weekend! (Plus other dances too). 💛

We have extra flowers! We have been getting inquiries for last minute posies and for loose flowers for bouquet making parties. I’m happy to say we can offer both.

Hi my friends! We are completely out of quart jars for our dance posies and we are in desperate need for this weekend! Do you have any in your cupboards or basements? Does your mom or grandma need a good cause to donate their jars to? Did you get a posy from us and still have the jar hanging around that you can drop back off to us?

If so stop by during business hours, or leave them in the crate on the back deck before or after hours. We would really appreciate it! Its so great to reuse and recycle. And we don’t need lids 🙂

We will also take old, clear vases of about the same size. Thank you!

Hey Fallston! Your dance is a week from this Friday. Our biggest weekend of the hoco season, and because people have been serious about getting orders in early, we only have about 10- 15 spots left.

I will be home for this one to help! And I’ll be there for pick ups! We are able to take on a bit more than we have over the last two weeks because I’ll be there, but we still are anticipating orders closing by the end of Thursday, possibly Friday depending on what is ordered.

If you have any changes to your orders please let me know asap. I have had over 20 people contact me this week about order changes between this week and next. That’s a lot.

Please please check in with your kids before ordering. Be sure to know what they want or don’t want. We have had a lot of canceled items or added items this week.

I beg of you to get those orders in asap! Tell your friends! I love helping all of you, but we are going to be swamped next week! We have to try and get ordering wrapped up this week.

Awwww! I can’t remember the last time I was given flowers on my birthday and here I am, turning 47 and I have flowers from Dave and flowers from my mom! I am thoroughly enjoying every bloom that others have arranged for me. My mom bought the prettiest Shimmer roses (one of my faves) and arranged them so cute and David surprised me with a custom design from , which is a shop owned by one of my friends from high school!

And now I know how you all feel when you get birthday flowers- I don’t even want to leave the house- I just want to stare at these arrangements all dayyyyy 😂

My nephew even showed up to my delicious birthday breakfast with organic blueberries 🫐🫐🫐What a thoughtful treat.

And guess what? I thought I broke my moms nice toaster this morning 😬 But I didn’t! And I fixed it! Magical birthday me ✨✨✨✨and magical YouTube. I love fixing stuff, so I’m just super glad it broke. What a gift!

It’s a beautiful day so far, so treat yourself to something nice 👏🏼👏🏼If someone questions you, just say “it’s Tiffany’s birthday, she said I could”. That should be sufficient. Sending lots of love! 💛🥳

I came home with two bunches from the flower stand next to the park.

My mom said “I saw that and I knew you would stop”.

Because I don’t just brake for flowers, but all young entrepreneurs. I’ll buy your flowers, your keychains, your shells, your rocks, your cookies, your art, your lemonade.

My kids will even alert me. “Mom, there’s a kid next door selling peaches.” “Mom, there’s a lemonade stand down the street.” “Mom, did you see those girls selling bracelets?”

I was that kid.
So I see those kids.

Not too long ago I was at a roadside farm stand with my mom. Across the street was a woman, older than me, waving her hands and smiling at every car that passed. She stood in front of a table full of brown boxes. I couldn’t see any sign from my angle, but as we pulled out of the farm stand parking lot, we pulled directly into hers.

I didn’t get a picture of her or her stand, but I did snap a picture of her beautiful orange rolls when I got home that afternoon.

I had bought a 4 pack and I think it must have weighed a good 5 pounds.

She wasn’t messing around with the baked goods.

As soon as I pulled in and approached her table she said “thank you so much for stopping.” and as I left she thanked me again. Her table was still full to the brim with delicious sweet rolls. It was mid afternoon.

It made me wonder if she was 50 years younger would her table be less full? If she was 3 feet tall with a sidekick sibling jumping and waving, would more cars be stopping? I wasn’t sure.

But I don’t just brake for young entrepreneurs, but for the old ones too.

I am that adult.
So I see those adults.

I think that once you have thrown yourself out into the world at any age, peddling wares and crossing fingers that your offerings will be embraced by that world, you see it all differently.

You see the farmer’s market differently, you see craft shows and art galleries differently, you tip the street musicians, you buy from the homegrown food truck, you buy from the small shops.

You see the intent and elation and genuine gratitude and awe of the person behind the table, the counter, the register, the guitar.

They are all just grown up lemonade stands.

All of them.

✨✨ANNOUNCEMENTS! ✨✨

This week has been super hectic at the shop. We have a lot going on and our design team has been putting in full days and long hours.

We are currently sold out for walk ins… we will try and put some stuff out maybe by tomorrow, but just know that today we have sold out and we don’t have the bandwidth to do any more.

We are closing dance orders (October 10-11) for next weekend TODAY. We only have a few spots left and when they are taken, the site will block off those dates. If dates are available on the site, they are still open, if they are grayed out, we are booked. ALL ORDERS NEED TO BE PLACED ON OUR WEBSITE. No messaging, calling in, or walk in orders.

There will be no waitlist in the upcoming weeks. Please understand that things are a little different this season for us as a staff and we can’t accommodate last minute requests like we have in the past. If we happen to have enough flowers and time as a staff to take on more, we will let you know.

This goes for event and other flower arrangement requests as well. PLEASE have any flower orders to us by Monday of any given week. Dance orders need to be in at least a week before a dance and sometimes earlier if we sell out.

We are doing our very very best and our staff is committed to making beautiful designs for you. We appreciate grace and patience as you express any needs or changes that you may need to make, and we will always offer you the same.

(UPDATE: SOLD OUT! 😘) My son Tommy asked if I had any daisies at the shop last Monday. I asked him why.

“My friend wants to ask a girl to homecoming and he wants daisies.”

“Awww that’s cute. Which kind? There are a lot of varieties”

“The white kind with the yellow middle”

Classic.

I told him I didn’t have any in, but I could special order them.

When I checked, the only option was to buy 5 bunches - but there was no way this freshman wasn’t going to get his daisies.

So I bought all five.

And his were picked up yesterday. So now we have 4 bunches all wrapped up cute and available.

They always remind me of a scene in one of my favorite fall movies.

“I love daisies.” 💛

“They’re so friendly. Don’t you think that daisies are the friendliest flower?” 💛

“I do” 🤍

Friendliest flowers are $15 a bunch and we only have 4. Comment or message me if you’d like me to hold them for you! 🙂

This weekend kicks off dances with NDP! So so fun to see all the pretty colors coming in. Online ordering for this weekend has closed.

Next weekend is a big one for us! John Carroll always shows up at Washday! We are over halfway booked already and could be fully booked by next Monday or earlier, so don’t delay!

Orders are coming in pretty steadily for all weekends in October.

Last Friday I caught a midday flight from BWI to Salt Lake City to get back in time to watch my son Oliver play in his homecoming game. 🏈

But not before I made him a matching corsage and boutonniere for the Saturday dance!

Yes! I made them Thursday, kept them in my fridge overnight and then packed them in a small box with cool paper towels around the flowers with a little refreezable ice pack in a ziploc in the box.

And fingers crossed. 🤞🏼

After a full day of traveling I opened the box and they were absolutely perfect! I put the set quickly in the fridge as soon as I got home and then jetted out for the game.

It was so fun to be able to do that and bring a bit of Washday home for Oliver and Kaylee to wear to the dance. 💛
