What happens if it rains?
We always have plans in place and remain flexible so we can create the best possible experience for our couples, no matter what the forecast brings.
To keep our couple and guests comfortable, we worked with the venue and vendors to:
⢠Confirm the rain tent for the ceremony and flip for cocktail hour. (Smith Farm Gardens now offers this option, and couldn't have made the process any easier)
⢠Add siding to both tents while keeping the ceremony backdrop open
⢠E-Z Occasions added drapery behind the ceremony backdrop
⢠First Blush transitioned the floral design from an arch to a meadow installation
⢠Arch the ceremony chairs to create a warmer, more intimate setting
⢠Add heaters throughout the tent spaces
⢠Provide clear umbrellas for guests
⢠Add a covered canopy to the cook tent for food service (another Smith Farm Gardens weather contingency that was set up immediately)
⢠Adjust the timeline and moved formalities to take advantage of a dry window for photos
⢠The caterer seamlessly flipped the tent space for dessert and the after party
Rain may require a few changes, but with the right vendor team and a venue that has backup plans in place, the day never misses a beat!
