Happy Father’s Day, Handsome
To my first love the one who showed me what unconditional love truly means.
You taught me empathy in a world that often forgets it.
You stood by me through the highs and the lows,
Always my biggest cheerleader on the sidelines.
You lifted me when I felt like falling.
And your words in Spanish, etched in my soul
“Otra raya más al tigre” just another stripe on the tiger.
You taught me strength through every scar.
In these times we’re living, I think even more about the man you were.
You were an immigrant who came to this country with nothing but a dream
And gave everything so we could have a better life.
You didn’t just chase the American Dream
You lived it, and you gave it to us.
To my brothers and me, you handed down not just opportunity,
But a legacy of courage, sacrifice, and love.
I thank you, Daddy.
I am so proud to call you my father.
And I promise to carry your legacy forward
With dignity, with gratitude, and with heart.
