I want to be very clear: I do not agree with Charlie Kirk or anyone whose values call into question the very existence of my family, friends, and community.
For a long time, I’ve stayed mostly quiet and non-political on this page. But silence can become a disservice—to myself, my business, and to the people I care about most. Over the last week, I’ve watched as many businesses openly voiced their support for Charlie Kirk, often alongside religious references, and they did so without hesitation. I’m here to stand just as boldly—only on the other side.
If my personal beliefs offend you to the point that you choose to unfollow or not do business with me, I am deeply okay with that. Thank you for making room for people who align with my values. My business is me, and I am my business.
I want it to be known: Herb & Grain is a safe place.
It should go without saying—but apparently cannot—that no one should be harmed or killed for who they are. This includes transgender and q***r humans, who deserve the right to live, love, and express themselves freely. This includes children, who just want to learn, laugh, and grow up without fear. This includes BIPOC humans, who deserve to pursue their dreams and raise their families without being targeted for the color of their skin. This includes women, who deserve access to essential healthcare without facing criminalization for miscarriages or reproductive choices.
Going forward, you will see my spiritual beliefs here. You will see me fundraising for organizations that matter. And you will see me standing up for my fellow humans. Always.
