We’ve spent the last couple days exploring around Panamá City and connecting with each other. It feels so amazing to slow down and focus on our relationships and making memories. 💗 Yesterday, we did a monkey tour after floating through part of the Canal and went to a local farmer’s market and had SUCH a great time. Then we started Spanish lessons! We’ve been grubbing on all the fresh fruits and vegetables and loving it! This trip is a shorter one than we normally take and knew it was the rainy season, and we just weren’t sure how travel would be between places. So we decided to just park it here and really slow down. There is so much of Panamá that we want to see, but it’ll have to be another time.

A sad encounter with Agie and the chicks, left us down one chick. Being a vizsla, Ags is a natural bird hunter and one of the chicks got out and mayhem ensued. Aoife was so so devastated when her fave chick died, so we got a couple more for the sweet mama hen. We recreated the last photo from a few years ago 💗

Maeve’s already lost interest in the chicks, but Aoife is mother henning them like it’s her job! 😍🐥 It’s so so cute! The yellow one, now named “Lemon” because yes, we reuse all our old chicken names 😂😂😂, had her left eye shut. Not sure what was going on there but she wouldn’t open that eyelid. So Aoife, a few times a day took a wet Qtip and cared for her eye and then “popped it open with my fingers” and few times and bam! She’s all better 🤣🤣

Chicks!! Our egg consumption is up and we’ve loved having our birds, so we added 4 🐥 to the bunch!

This is the trip that changed our lives in 2022. COVID was still very much present but we needed to get out of our country and experience something different. We spent 5 weeks in central Mexico on this trip in the beginning of 2022. We ended up changing our plans in the moment and found a beautiful Mexican family that we ended up doing a home stay with. It was the butterfly effect for us. Here we are, 3 years later, with different views on the world and what we want to share with our children. We are in the final stages a becoming a host family for a girl from central Mexico for 5 months and can’t wait for what this will teach us. Here the girls are playing in that host family’s house 💗
