Whittled steering oar 'wart' almost completed. I used found wood, a box cutter, and pure ire to make this component that holds the steering oar at the back of the ships in place. For now though, it looks like a hoof lol.

Robot carving a keel for a commission. Nice to get the CNC going again but it's been an uphill battle getting the part perfect as I work out all the kinks and key process parameters.

Designing and blanking a ~50% larger steering oar. I start by sketching what i want, editing, make a cardstock template by gluing the cut out paper onto a cereal box piece, then transfer the design to wood and use a scroll saw to get my 2D shape. The rest will be hand carved. I used pine in this case because it carves so easily and feels super soft after sanding.
