Poplar Events is honored to celebrate the incredible success of The Brooklyn Hospital Center's with these two inspiring women: Deborah Niederhoffer, Vice President & Chief Development Officer of The Brooklyn Hospital Foundation, and Dascha Polanco, acclaimed actress known for her standout roles in Orange Is the New Black, In the Heights, and The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story. The theme for this year's event, "Care Close to Home," highlighted the hospital's new care facilities in Brooklyn neighborhoods, making it easier for residents to get the care they need "close to home."

Poplar Events is the collaborative event planner for this unforgettable evening at the Brooklyn Museum on May 19, 2025—a night dedicated to community, impact, and excellence. A special shout-out to Dascha for giving your time and presence, sharing your story with us, and being one of the kindest, genuine, easy-going celebrities I have had the good fortune to meet.

Poplar Events is grateful for our partnership with these incredible organizations in 2024:

City Parks Alliance – After 18 months of planning, in June 2024, City Parks Alliance hosted the record-breaking Greater & Greener conference in Seattle, where over 1,200 urban park leaders, city planning and design professionals, public officials, advocates, funders, and innovators engaged in four days of immersive learning, both indoors and outdoors. The carefully planned sessions, workshops, and tours facilitate an honest dialogue around solutions, cross-sector and peer-to-peer networking, and tools for building successful park partnerships.

The Brooklyn Hospital Center - The Brooklyn Hospital Foundation's Founders Ball at the Brooklyn Museum in May 2024 was another success, drawing over 600 attendees and raising more than $1.3 million to support the Brooklyn Hospital Center. With the theme “The Heart of Healing,” the event highlighted the hospital’s impact on the community, underscored the power of compassion in healthcare, and celebrated the Hospital’s US News and World Report ranking as the 30th best of New York Metro’s Regional Hospitals.

Associated Supermarket Group – It was all about the golden age of disco at the ASG’s Annual Dinner at Terrace on the Park in November 2024. Guests were transported back to the sounds and styles of the 1970’s, blending nostalgia with celebration as the organization honored its achievements and created Studio ASG, complete with a lighted dance floor, go-go cages, and outlandish staff costumes. Totally tubular.
