This past weekend we got the Enfield family together for updated family photos as my husband’s family hadn’t taken any professional ones in years. I couldn’t miss the opportunity to take photos of his grandparents together. 🥹

These two have been married for 50 years! FIFTY YEARS!! It is quite unheard of these days and we are so blessed to have them show us what unconditional love is. Your spouse may annoy you at times, maybe even frustrate you, but no matter what you love them unconditionally. That’s what marriage is all about. 🥹❤️

Allyssa & Orie 🚁

I’ll be real honest when I say I don’t even know where to begin with this session. AHHH it was SO much fun!! I think we all know the obvious answer though with the elephant in the room 😬😉🚁

First, I just have to say that these two radiate so much joy and happiness and I felt this throughout our whole session. Even when I was culling through the images and throughout editing I couldn’t stop smiling. The three of us laughed the whole session my cheeks were hurting from smiling so hard. 😂

Orie is a pilot and actually proposed to Allyssa in this exact helicopter! So, obviously when they said they wanted to include the helicopter in their engagement session I couldn’t say no! I mean really though, who would say no?! What an opportunity!! ANNNDDDD at the end of the session he took me for a ride in it! It was a beautiful experience and I feel so so blessed to have been given this opportunity! 🫶🏼❤️

I like to set goals for myself every year. At first it was “I want to book ___ amount of sessions/weddings. That was the goal actually for my first two-three-ish years of making this hobby a business. This year I decided that I don’t want to be set on how many bookings I think I should get, because it can lead to disappointment on my end and make me feel like I’m not good enough. Who the heck wants that?! It has even put me into a creative rut at times. This year I want to focus on what I am creating and how I am creating it. My goal this year is to think outside my normal posing, to go for a documentary style feel with more prompts, but still mixed with some of my normal posing. This session really got my creative “juices” flowing and I am so proud of it. We tried so many new things that I haven’t done before and well honestly, I am just so proud. It was wonderful to capture a couple that was open to anything I threw their way! 🥰

I have high hopes for my busy season this year. I am feeling all the things currently and cannot wait to share more of my art with you all. ❤️

A record store engagement session for Kirsten & JJ ✨

Though the March air was crisp & cold we still found warmth to shoot their engagement session! The record store was so fitting for them and I decided a vintage feel would be GORGEOUS for this type of session. It’s always fun editing different than normal and Kirsten said it was exactly what they imagined! Their wedding is coming up so fast and I can’t wait for it!! ☺️

Friendly reminder that we don’t always have to shoot outside! Your engagement session should feel like you! If you aren’t outside often, then maybe an outdoor session isn’t the right space! I’m sounding like a broken record now, but the opportunities are endless for your session and it can feel more like a date than a photoshoot! 🥰

Michelle & Kaden 💕

When Michelle and I were talking about locations for their engagement session I asked if they had anywhere that was special to them as a couple! Something I usually ask when planning engagement sessions so that the location has some meaning and feels comfortable to them as a couple. Michelle and Kaden have two very special locations. The place they met and the place he proposed. Spoiler alert this going to be a double post for their engagement session!!

This specific location is where Kaden confessed his love for Michelle and proposed to her. How sweet to have your engagement photos done right where you said yes to a life long commitment?! I just love love. 🥹😭

I’ve been to this park at least one other time for a session and it does not disappoint!! THE COLORS!! THE FLOWERS!! Oh my goodness!!! I was blown away!! Spring in Fort Wayne is BLOOMING you guys!

I cannot wait to capture their love again this October for their wedding. 🥹❤️

Now offering fresh 48 photos! 🥰

I have always loved looking at fresh 48 photos in the hospital room, but I’ve only done one other session and it was just a quick few photos in the bassinet with the sign the parents had with his name on it, so I felt like I didn’t have enough experience to offer them. After doing this session with my brother and sister in law and little nephew I decided I would love to offer these from now on. 🥹

It is such a sweet way to capture your babies when they are so fresh! For the first few sessions I am going to offer them at a highly discounted rate! These are for fresh 48 only! I would love to do in home as well! 🥰

Bella & Brandon 🧡❤️💚

It doesn’t have to be the typical photoshoot you see online, let’s play with paint, have a pillow fight, play in the water at beach or in a river, spray each other with water at the car wash, the possibilities are endless! Hopping on my high horse real quick to remind you:
✨ Incorporating what you LOVE into your sessions will always be a good idea!! ✨

This may have been for a senior session, but Tyler brought her fiance AND her motorcycle to her senior session so you already know I was going to offer snapping a few quick pics with them together. If your person has been along for the ride of your college experience why not?!

Back to my first point. Making your session feel more like you is going to be so much more authentic to who you are. This goes for all sessions! Couples especially! Pizza dates, coffee dates, bar dates, record store dates, board games, your favorite hobby like riding motorcycles together, skate boarding/long boarding; the possibilities are endless because we all love doing different things with our person. Make it authentic to you! You’ll never regret being authentic and honestly, the photos will show the joy that you don’t get to see on the outside when you’re experiencing these things together. ❤️

When it’s cold outside, but you still want your engagement photos asap, just remember we can always find a cute spot indoors!! Doesn’t have to be a studio either! Coffee shops, bars, record stores, skating rinks, ect. The options are endless! These two got to sip on coffee & hot chocolate throughout their session and it was too perfect! ☕️❤️
