Armor of Faith

With the belt of truth buckled tight,
I stand firm, ready to fight the good fight.
The breastplate of righteousness shields my heart,
In this battle of faith, I’ll play my part.

My feet are prepared with the gospel of peace,
In the face of the storm, my fears will cease.
With the shield of faith, I deflect every dart,
For I know the Lord has equipped me to start.

The helmet of salvation guards my mind,
In His word and promise, my strength I find.
With the sword of the Spirit, the truth I proclaim,
In the face of the enemy, I’ll stand unashamed.

Whom should I fear when God is my guide?
His love and protection are always beside.
My only fear lies in straying away,
From the path of His word, I choose to obey.

So here I stand, bold and free,
Clothed in His armor, I will always be.
The enemy may come, but he does not stand a chance,
In the power of His might, I will advance.
