Mom and dad deserve a set of images on their own too! Yes, we start with the standard hold hands and look at the camera because that is what subjects ‘think’ they are supposed to do…so you know what? I know you’re going to do it anyway, so I start with that pose first! But that is not the real image I want. It checked the box so now everyone feels like they can relax thinking “we got it”….and once we all relax is when the real images showing the love and true connection can happen!

Also, I have 3 more openings for almond sessions then I will be closing the books. I’ll post a link in stories to book!

Good morning! Happy Wednesday! I hope your week is off to a good start! We had some absolutely glorious weather to start the week before we get hit by 5 days of straight rain! Happy I got a chance to get out and workout with friends the last few days before we hunker down! Which means, I will bust out a lot of work these next few days starting with a post here! Making family pictures in to art you want to hang on your walls 🙌🏻 trust me, getting these many people to not look at the camera can be a hard accomplishment, so sometimes showing clients my vision helps them to see what we are trying to accomplish which is what I did here and bam 💥 mission accomplished 😘

Do you photographer older families? Sure do! Just because they may not fit in our laps anymore doesn’t mean they don’t deserve pictures too. How sad to look back and have missed out on documenting this time when they are holding on to their last bits of childhood while transitioning in to the adults we will soon know. So cool right?

Good morning! Can you even believe we are 2 days away from the blossom sessions opening! I am busy getting all the dates in order, I secured the orchard, so now it’s time to set your alarms and make sure you are added to the waitlist so you get first priority! Sessions will open to 2023 clients and the waitlist on Monday, January 15th at 9am! Here is one of my favorite pictures from last fall 💕

One thing I try to do each session is push myself creatively…once I know I have the images the client expects from our session my mind can rest and this is when the fun for me happens … like this double exposure. Some people will think they are a muddled m mess and others will@think I can’t get enough of it (like me)! These images are the ones the client isn’t expecting from me but the ones that make the extra special gallery and worthy of hiring me ❤️

Count down is on with just a few more days to go until Christmas!!! I remember the excitement in my house as a child, while we were banned to the upstairs so my Mom could finish all her sh*t uninterrupted….i now get it ;)

Today our home is slightly less chaotic than those of my childhood, but I’m going to spend my day making another round of macarons for a cookie party later tonight and watching the Barbie movie with my boys. Happy holidays and hope you are enjoying this special time with your loved ones!!

Oh yikes … I woke up to a “can’t find server” on my website and now on the phone with support 🤯 I know like .5% about website, domains, DNS, etc. When I created it all, it was 6+ years ago and my old brain has no recollection of how it works anymore. Hope your Friday is off to a better start and if you have any website guru’s send them my way!!!

Sitting here on this rainy day wishing I was curled up cuddling my sweet little babies again, instead….I’m sitting in the car…again….waiting for school pickup.

My best friend sent me a reel •”Where do the 35-40 year olds hang out??? The answer: “We’re in the car…just always in the car…driving….napping….dropping off kids…picking up kids…where in here during our lunch breaks eating…crying… and sometimes we’re in our car when we’re at the house, but we’re just in here because it’s warm and we need to take a deep breath before we go inside…” 😂😂 nothing ever felt more true! So to you new parents cuddling away with your little ones, savor those cuddles before you start living your life….in the car 🥳🥳

Also, if you are having a baby next year and think you want newborn pictures, please reach out sooner rather than later! I only take two newborns a month and as much as I would like, I cannot accept anymore once the month is full. These two were just the sweetest mommy and baby and such a treat to photograph 💕
