We press the gowns, it’s part of our concierge service.

We had no idea it’s becoming our signature thing until the MOB requested that we do “your dress hanging thing”.

So we did.

So we had quite the day leveling up the bridal suite at the lovely Meredith Manor for our bride and her girls.

Our day starts with pressing all gowns then:
* Feeding everyone
*Altering gowns
* Helping the photographers
* Running the rings to the best man

And our new habit - keeping the timeline AHEAD of schedule!!!

So these are super common things that get overlooked. We see it all the time.

1. You are all most likely arriving between 7:30-9:00 for HMU. Your ceremony probably starts between 3/4:00. That’s 8 hours without food and probably some alcoholic toast involved. EVERYONE (especially you whether you’re hungry or not) needs to eat.

2. If you can’t get into your venue until later and HMU is happening at another location, make sure everyone has transportation to the venue. This oversight will kill your timeline.

3. Never on anyone’s radar, ever. Your florals are most likely in vases of water. When you hand them out, if the bottom stems aren’t dried, they’ll leave water marks on the dresses. Not the worst thing that could happen but just one less thing to stress about. We have a towel sitting right next to the florals so they can get dried as the girls come to get them.

These three things happen way more than you might realize. This part of your day is the last part that usually gets planned, so preparation will help it flow smoothly for everyone.

Yes- I’ve put quite a few of our brides in a “bridal time out”.

When those dresses go on everything seems to start ramping up. And that’s usually when some brides hit their limit of holding it all together.

It’s an important day in your life. You’ve been planning this moment forever. And sometimes you need a few minutes to remove yourself, compose your thoughts and get yourself in a good spot.

That’s why we’re there. That’s what we do. We deal with the people in the wedding not the actual details of the reception.
