Let’s talk timing, HONESTLY 🔥
Weddings take planning, energy, emotions, money, and time. But when do those wheels actually start turning?

As a planner who blends intention with intuition, I’ve been noticing a rhythm to when couples reach out , and I’m curious to hear your take.

✨ If you’re engaged or newly married : when did you actually start reaching out to vendors?
✨ If you’re a vendor : when does your inbox start to bloom with serious inquiries?
✨ If you’re married : was your timing ideal, or would you have done it differently? How do?

We met at Redbrick Station... Big Rick if you ask the baby girl. Lol 💕

Our girls spotted each other from across the room and locked into a playful stare that only toddlers can hold. One bold “can we sit together?” later, and our families were breaking bread like we’d known each other forever.

I wasn’t even gonna mention wedding planning. I just liked them. But Zach nudged me with that look like, “you’re really not gonna tell them?” So I did. And somehow, this beautiful collision of strangers turned into one of the sweetest friendships ,and eventually, a wedding I got to help bring to life.

There was so much care in holding both roles (planner /client and friend) He was cautious. Protective. She was open-hearted and intentional. And me? I just wanted to serve them well. Love them well. Show up and reciprocate the kindness and support they'd shown us.

On their wedding day, I held their baby girl through the ceremony. Rocked her gently in the shade so she could still be near while her parents promised forever. I helped their oldest practice tossing petals with confidence and joy. (for the record she needed NO help lol )
I got to be there...really be there.

Not just as a planner. But as someone who genuinely cares them.

And I’ll never forget it.

Let’s talk about wifehood 💍💕 the part after the vows, when the music fades and real life begins.

I’ve been married for 7 years and I still have moments where I think… “I’d marry you again tomorrow.” But I also have moments where it takes intention , to stay soft, to stay present, to stay in love.

The fairytales don’t show the real work. Cause baby it’s WORK. But they also don’t show the beauty that grows when you water your vows. 🌿💧💍

Being a wife means learning how to stay tender, stay present, and still light up when you say his name. It means showing up soft, present, and faithful even on the hard days.
It means learning how to love him well, even when life isn’t pretty.

So here’s to the wives still doing the work …quietly, beautifully, intentionally.

Brides plan every detail down to the napkin fold… but here are 5 things most forget (and wish they hadn’t):

✨ Your social battery matters.
Give yourself real breaks. You deserve a moment to breathe, snack, and not perform.

✨ The marriage > the wedding.
Your timeline should include convos about life after the party, not just color palettes and playlists.

✨ Your values should lead your timeline.
More grandma dances, fewer forced photos. Don’t follow trends that don’t fit your vibe.

✨ Somebody needs to run the show (and it shouldn’t be you).
Your cousin can’t also be your coordinator. Get help. Delegate. Hire a pro. We offer coaching for those not able to invest in full planning.

✨ Plan for presence, not just perfection.
