A sweet spot in a bittersweet trip.

While I was away for my uncle’s celebration of life, my granddaughter showed up with her sketchbook to share what she’s been working on. She’s been practicing and working so hard at learning to draw, and I couldn’t be more proud of her!

Getting to sit beside her and look through those pages together meant so much to me. I love seeing her creativity grow, and I love even more that she wants to share it with me. 🥹🎨

These marshmallow-roasting ghosts brought a little spooky sweetness to our paint night! I can’t get over their cute expressions—that little one seems pretty concerned about the marshmallow situation. 😂
