Sometimes it's not the wins that your most proud of. Sometimes it's doing the tough thing and not knowing why. Today was a very proud moment as we watched Kinley Follman and KT Kisslikeaman exit the arena without even finishing the 1st barrel. Kinley had everything she wanted for this run a good run yesterday and top of the ground today to set her and KT up for a good average. Upon getting to 1st barrel and KT running past it to the arena wall Kinley knew something was wrong. It is not typical of KT to not turn. Without even hesitating she pulled KT back to the warmup pen without running him any further or asking him for more not knowing what if anything was wrong, just knowing something wasn't right. Once back to the warm up pen she found her chin strap that she had just checked during the drag before her had broke and she had little control. Thank goodness KT is such a respectable good boy and Kinley was able safely get him stopped and back to the warm up pen. Even with everything she had been wanting, a good run #1 , top of the ground, KT feeling great and a opportunity to average she never hesitated to protect herself and her horse. AND THATS A PROUD MOMENT!
