The Flower Shed was created 2019 as the covid era emerged. Many brides couldn’t find a wedding florists or any florist at this time due to the pandemic. I studied floral design in the early 90’s after the birth of my second child. My husband at the time wasn’t working and failure and poverty were not an option for me. I took a job with my cousin in law at a full service florist in Metro Detroit ar

ea. This florist was just purchased by a new owner and they were in the process of opening 16 stores. I was glad to go on that journey with them. They taught me floral design, merchandizing displays and store product. I soon became an assistant manager and then on to managing my own store. I helped open many of the new stores and trained managers. Eventually I moved up to the design team that built wedding displays for Bridal shows, designing the dream bouquet and centerpieces. Which led to so many events, many weddings and photography for weekly special flyers…and that’s where it all started. I was able to come back to my country home town and pursue what I absolutely love to do. I want to share the experience and inspirations from our customers of past future and present. I’m loving every minute of it!
