Kaylie loves her people fiercely and intentionally. I was blown away hearing the story behind her passion for law — one marked as the great-granddaughter of Dutch immigrants, racehorses, estates, and the Kentucky Derby (you’ll have to ask her the story sometime :). She’s carrying on defending her family’s American dream and driven by the freedoms endowed by our Creator.

I loved incorporating the pieces, places, and people she loves to share Kaylie’s passion through photographs and celebrate this season as she graduates Baylor! 💚💛

In March North Hays County Fire Rescue hosted the Push-In Ceremony for Engine 62 at the recently re-opened Station 62. Push-in ceremonies in the fire service date back to the days of horse-drawn fire engines when firefighters manually pushed them into the bay. Locals and leaders in Driftwood got to participate, celebrating the new apparatus and the bond our fire department and community have!

this is one of my favorites— inspired by ’s wedding day.

i’m a storytelling photographer, and we specifically chose to shoot on this day because of the rain, because of the night. the story we were telling of their 14 years of marriage, a love weathered.

lean into the wildly creative and unexpected. storytelling has no rules. while for some the rain, cold, and dark may have been show-stoppers, not for us — trust the creative process!

“life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning how to dance in the rain.”

and in this case, documenting the beauty of it.
