this week, we’ll be playing Huang Joanxin’s “Dislocation”.

a drifting young man whose chance encounters pull him into an increasingly unsettling journey through urban Japan. As ordinary situations gradually give way to moments of absurdity and quiet menace, the line between reality and alienation begins to blur. Balancing deadpan humor with an atmosphere of growing unease, the film captures the disconnection and uncertainty of modern life. Both enigmatic and darkly playful, it rewards viewers with a uniquely offbeat meditation on identity, isolation, and perception.
