SURPRISE - Desire (Avernon Deep Mix) released today 🌀

Making remixes of my own tracks is something I absolutely love doing—so I wanted to go ahead make one for Desire. This remix came quite naturally to me because I’ve been listening to a lot of deep and organic house lately. Something about deep house just makes me feel calm.

When I do a remix, I always try to write new parts for everything except a synth or a vocal from the original version. This remix came about very stream-of-consciousness. I started with an 8 bar loop, kept adding to it until I had way too many parts written. Then I arranged & mixed it into the full final version over the course of 2 weeks!

Playing at Marble Bar this Friday September 4 to support one of my all time favorite artists Yotto!! I caught him spinning in NYC last May, and he set the roof on fire. 🔥

This lineup is quite stacked, everyone on this flyer is insanely talented in their own right—it’s gonna be an incredible event that you don’t want to miss out on!!

2026 has been a really big year for me so far. The Detroit Metro Times featured my Impact EP in an article, I’ve released 20+ assorted songs on streaming (so far 👀), and I’ve been able to DJ more and more at my favorite clubs—which is something I never thought would happen.

I feel like I have accomplished so much in such a short amount of time, but honestly, that’s really the power of having my heart set on the craft. I love crate digging through house tracks for hours on end, writing new songs (decent portion of these will never see the light of day lolol), and finding new meanings to why I am doing this. I am really grateful for the communities my fellow local DJs and producers have been fostering for ages; being a part of this local DJ scene makes me feel like I belong here in Detroit. As someone who moved around a lot growing up, I’ve never felt more at home. ❤️

Music is my biggest passion on earth, and with every coming day, I feel more and more confident in my creativity. I can only imagine what is going to happen over the course of the next couple years. The more I release music, the more I feel like I’m finding my footing in the sound I want to make. It’s a really wonderful thing. Desire took me over 4 months to finish after the original demo, and I am really grateful for all of the positive feedback from y’all on it. You’re helping me continue to do what I love and grow as an artist.

Some of you might remember this one from my PenthousePartiii DJ mix. I wrote the first demo of Desire back in March and spent every second of my free time workshopping this song to maximize the quality within. With this song, I wanted to pay homage to the progressive trance music that is so influential in my life. This track lights a smile on my face every time I play it out.
