🎨 Hi there! As we just started this new page and business, I wanted to quickly introduce myself here to give ya'll an idea of the mama and the Mia behind the screen!

I, the grownup in the picture (most days) am Mieke — 45 years young, originally from Belgium, and a lifelong lover of all things arty, messy, and creative! After years in art school (fine arts, graphic design) and our local art academy back home, I now years later decided to finally get back to my roots and use them to teach our kids and watch their creativity bloom.

👩‍👧Which brings me to the little girl in the picture, My favorite little artist — Mia, she’s 7 and full of imagination (and glitter!) and 100% my inspiration of many things!!

Here at mama mia's we are also so super excited to be part of the Wagyu Mama Schoolhouse teaching/coaching staff in Freeport, where learning is hands-on, joyful, and just right for kids who need a break from traditional public school routines. I also recently launched Mama Mia’s Arts & Craft Club kids night out — a cozy, colorful space where kids can unplug, make a creative mess, and most importantly, be themselves. Art is such a powerful way to build confidence, friendships, and have screen-free fun. Aaand we also want to give you busy moms and dads a little break on a saturday night 🙂
