Sometimes you get rain on your wedding day. Sometimes you get snow. Sometimes you get sunshine. Emily and Bryce got all three…in the span of two hours.

They got ready in Breckenridge with their parents and siblings, had a private first look, then headed up to Loveland Pass, where it was snowing when we arrived (Emily had been hoping for snow, so this was the best surprise she could have asked for). Then the sun broke through…then a drizzle rolled in mid-ceremony…and then the sun came right back out 😮‍💨

That’s early October at 11,000 feet though. You can’t plan for one kind of weather, so you plan for all of it and let the day be what it is.

We wandered for portraits afterward and met everyone back at the Airbnb for a toast and cake. Their Great Dane couldn’t make the trip, but made it onto the cake topper silhouetted right next to the two of them.

Simple, personal, and entirely theirs.

Wanna know something most people don’t realize about eloping in the mountains? The weather will do whatever it wants. And a good plan accounts for that long before the day arrives.

When couples book me, we don’t just pick a pretty spot and hope for sunshine. We build a real plan. We talk backup locations, watch the forecast in the days leading up, and map out a Plan B (and sometimes even a Plan C) so that if the sky dark clouds roll in, nobody’s panicking. You’re not scrambling. You already know what we’re doing.

And sometimes? The plan is just to embrace it. Kendall and Oliver got rain and decided to run around in it anyway, and it turned out to be one of the best parts of their day. But that’s only fun when you’re not stressed, and you’re only not stressed when someone’s already handled the logistics 🙏🏼

Some couples you plan a wedding for, others you end up gaining as friends along the way. Ash and Ben are very much the latter.

These two wanted to skip the noise and build something intentional. A slow morning, vows with a view, exploring all that Rocky Mountain National Park has to offer, and a whole day that was just theirs. We chose their location together and handled the permits, timeline, and flow so they could be fully present for all of it.

The mountains delivered. The moments were sweet, sentimental, happy and genuinely epic…including a rainbow that decided to make an appearance and had us in awe 😍

So so grateful I got to document this one. Here’s to you, besties🥹🥂

Well, my favorite time of year is officially here! June marks the start of busy wedding season in Colorado and I couldn’t be more ready for it 🥹 So so excited to document all the sweet moments for my couples who would rather say “I do” out in the mountains than anywhere else 🏔️

Friendly reminder since we’re in the middle of engagement season: You’re not selfish for eloping.

You’re not disappointing anyone by choosing what feels right for you. You’re not missing out by skipping the stress of a traditional wedding. And you’re not being dramatic by wanting your day to actually feel like yours.

It’s okay to want a slow morning with your partner instead of getting ready with ten different people rushing in and out of your room. You’re allowed to read your vows in private, without an audience, before your ceremony. You’re allowed to prioritize YOUR experience.

The couples I work with aren’t running away from anything. They’re running toward something better. A day that feels intentional. A celebration that serves THEM. An experience they’ll actually remember enjoying.

Erin and Jordan wanted the mountains, dressing up together, and the whole Colorado vibe for their elopement—but they also wanted to actually enjoy it.

No 100+ person guest list to stress about. No timeline that required waking up at 4 am. Just the two of them, killer views, and a day that felt true to who they are as a couple.

You don’t have to choose between “epic location” and “comfortable to get to.” You can have waterfalls in the background AND be back at your Airbnb eating takeout by 7 pm. Both things can be true.

That’s what eloping in Colorado gets you—real adventure, whatever that means to you. You don’t have to hike miles to get views like this. If that’s your thing, awesome, you already know I’m in—but if not? That’s great too! I know spots where you can literally drive up and walk 50 feet, and you’re there.

That’s the benefit of working with someone who actually knows these spots. I’ve got locations for every comfort level 🤎

It’s here!🎉 My brand new website just launched, and I couldn’t be happier 🥹

A huge thank you to my girl Kris for designing a site that feels so aligned with who I am now as a photographer. Fun fact: she also designed my site back in 2021, and when it was time for a refresh (and when I finally admitted DIY’ing wasn’t cutting it anymore), I knew I had to bring her back in. And thank you to the incredibly talented for the branding photos you see here 🤎.

Most of all, thank you to every couple who has trusted me to document their day, to the clients turned friends who have sent referrals my way, and to everyone who has followed along and supported this little business of mine. Owning and running a business isn’t easy, but the connections I’ve made and the love stories I’ve witnessed are more than I ever dreamed, and I’m forever grateful I get to call this my job.

Helping couples craft wedding days that feel like a true reflection of who they are is the best part of what I do. So, if you’re planning your own celebration, I’d LOVE to help you do the same.

The last few months have flown by, with days filled with elopements, camping trips, connection, exploring new corners of Colorado, and a little behind-the-scenes plotting for what’s next. Honestly, it’s been one of those “wow, this is the life I dreamed of” kind of summers 🥹

And now I finally get to share some of it with you, starting with Alayna + Tydus’s July elopement. They did it their way: first look tucked away in the woods by a waterfall, vows with family on top of a mountain, and a sweet cake + ch*****ne celebration to close out the day🍾.

My heart is still so full from this one 🤎 congrats again Alayna and TyDus!
