Some trips leave you rested. Others leave you changed.

The Vanishing Inc. Retreat in Greece was the latter.

Yes, Greece was breathtaking. We explored ancient sites, wandered through seaside villages, stood among artifacts thousands of years old, and experienced the kind of history that quietly reminds you how brief—and precious—our time really is.

But what I’ll remember most are the people.

The conversations over meals.

The late-night sessions that somehow stretched until nearly 3 a.m. before the hotel finally shut off the patio lights.

The shared ideas, laughter, encouragement, and moments of inspiration that seemed to appear around every corner.

I’m especially grateful for time spent with friends and mentors who have influenced me in so many ways over the years.

Ondrej and Hanka—for your friendship, encouragement, generosity, silliness, energy, and genuine hearts.

Perseus Arkomanis—for the conversations, creativity, and perspective.

Phedon Bilek—for sharing your incredible thinking and artistry.

Richard Wiseman, Jeff Kowalk, James & Julie Wade, Edmund Apperson, Nancy Anderson, Robert and Ruth Braun, and so many others who helped make this experience unforgettable.

And a special thank you to Andi Gladwin and Josh Jay for creating something truly remarkable. What you’ve built through the Retreat is far more than a magic event. It’s a community. A retreat family.

I came home with new ideas, renewed inspiration, and friendships I’ll carry for years to come.

Sometimes the greatest magic isn’t what happens on stage.

It’s what happens between intentional people.

I’ve had the privilege of performing at hundreds of weddings throughout my career, and every once in a while there’s one that reminds me exactly why I love what I do.

Recently, I had the honor of celebrating with Daniel Meza & Amaris Montoya at the Denver Botanic Gardens, and it was easily one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever experienced.

What I love most about wedding magic isn’t the performance itself.

It’s the moments that stay with people long after the wedding is over.

The unexpected laughter.

The shared amazement.

The memories created when family and friends experience something extraordinary together.

Years from now, most people won’t remember every detail of a wedding day. They’ll remember how it felt. They’ll remember the moments that brought them closer together.

I’m grateful that Daniel & Amaris trusted me to help create a few of those moments on one of the most important days of their lives.

Congratulations again to an incredible couple. Wishing you both a lifetime of love, laughter, and magic.

What happens when some of the world’s most creative magicians gather on a Greek island for a week?

You get conversations that challenge your thinking.

You get lectures that make you rethink what’s possible.

You get late-night sessions, new friendships, unexpected ideas, and moments that remind you why you fell in love with magic in the first place.

This past week, I had the privilege of attending The Retreat in Crete—an unforgettable experience brought to life by Joshua Jay, Andi Gladwin, George Luck, Craig Mitchell, and the incredible Vanishing Inc. team.

Throughout the week, we learned from an extraordinary lineup of performers, thinkers, and creators including Ondrej Psenicka, Perseus Arkomanis, Richard Wiseman, Phedon Bilek, Guy Hollingworth, Joshua Jay, Andi Gladwin, and many others who generously shared not only their knowledge, but also their passion for the art of magic.

The lectures were exceptional.

The magic was world-class.

The adventures were unforgettable.

But what continues to make this experience so special year after year is the people.

Somewhere along the way, this stopped feeling like a retreat and started feeling like family.

A group of people from around the world who come together to learn, create, explore, encourage one another, and celebrate this strange and wonderful art that has brought us all together.

From mountainside adventures and poolside magic sessions to unforgettable meals and conversations that stretched long into the night, I was reminded once again that some of the most meaningful moments in life happen when we’re fully present with the people around us.

I’m am now home with fresh ideas, renewed inspiration, and a heart full of gratitude for this community.

Thank you to everyone who made this week so memorable. I can’t wait until we all meet again.

Life has a funny way of teaching us about balance.

We spend so much time trying to perfectly hold everything together—work, dreams, responsibilities, family, expectations… constantly shifting pieces that don’t always seem like they should fit.

But maybe balance isn’t about holding everything still.

Maybe it’s about learning what truly matters and being fully present for it.

This little impossible moment with Nova was created using nothing more than a few everyday objects from his room.

Sometimes the most meaningful magic isn’t found on a stage.

It’s found in the moments we create together… when we stop trying to hold onto life and simply live it.
