I have been in the food industry in some capacity for most of my life. In 2013 I went back to school to earn an associates degree from Colorado Mesa University. On May 1, 2015 I opened Katy Q's BBQ Food Truck and catering. My business has been evolving over the past 10 years as my passion for healthy eating has become my focus. ible results is my motivation to share with my friends and clients. Foraging for mushrooms and sharing with friends and family is one of my joys. Game my son has harvested, fish that I have caught and local grass finished beef are now my main sources of food. Working as a private chef at some of the most prestigious hunting and fishing lodges in the lower 48 and Alaska has given me the opportunity to experience game and fish harvested and to prepare the bounty. Fermented foods have become an extremely important addition to my diet. I am looking forward to sharing this cooking skill with my clients.
I love hiking, fishing, reading, lifting weights, mushroom hunting, cooking over fire, riding my Mustang mare and spoiling my sassy rat terrier, Poppy. My family is my world and my two granddaughters my heart.
