Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Time for me to introduce myself to the new followers here and welcome you to my page.My name is Layla, from Dearborn, Michigan. I was born and raised in Morocco. I'm a woman entrepreneur, wife, mom and a cancer survivor. I'm the face and mind behind Taste Of Marrakech for those who never met me in person. My passion has always been cooking,baking, hiking and reading,with the years,things changed of course,priorities takes place ,but my love for the kitchen never changed, and here I'm today,sharing my love for Moroccan cuisine with guests who are looking for a unique and exotic experience. We host pop ups at different locations in the hope of getting our own brick and mortar one day ( ان شاءالله). Our mission is bringing people together, sharing a meal and learning more about different cultures and cuisines)

No worries,it will cool you off😁 how many times you heard your mom saying that to you when you complain about having harira in a hot day?There are few things in Morocco that you can eat or drink all year long, weather it's hot or cold; Harira soup, mint tea and rfissa just to name few🥰

Shakshuka; spicy North African and Middle Eastern dish ( and i heard there are similar dishes in many countries like Italy), made of grated tomatoes,onions,garlic, harissa, spices and poached eggs. Everyone makes their own and that's the beauty of this dish. There is no wrong way of making shakshuka, as long as you use tomatoes and eggs,you got yourself a delicious meal😉

Baghrir or Moroccan pancakes; soft and spongy pancakes made of semoulina, usually served with butter and honey.
