I just want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to everyone who came out to The Wright Mic… it truly meant more than words can express.

Last night wasn’t just another event—it was a moment, a release, a blessing. And because of YOU, it turned into something so special. The love, the laughter, the energy in that room… it was everything I needed and more.

To every comedian, every spoken word artist, every supporter, every person who pulled up just to vibe—thank you for showing up and showing out.

A GREAT time was had, and it wouldn’t have been possible without each and every one of you. 💫

I’m beyond grateful… and this is only the beginning.

Tonight means more than just an open mic… it’s personal. 💛

The last time I stood on stage was Valentine’s Day. It was beautiful, full of love, laughter, and great energy… but behind the scenes, I was going through one of the hardest moments of my life. I was between homes, feeling scared, confused, and asking God “why me?”

But then I had to remind myself… why not me?

That moment didn’t break me—it built me. It made me stronger, wiser, and more determined than ever. And now…The Lord is giving me everything I lost starting with the stage!!

🎤 TONIGHT at 6PM is my moment to return.

This is more than comedy for me. This is healing. This is gratitude. This is me standing back in my purpose and thanking God for bringing me THROUGH it. 🙌🏾

So I’m asking y’all from the heart…

Miss Kim G! A creative entrepreneur, and storyteller who truly proves she can do it all. Launching her comedic journey at the The Laugh Zone House of Comedy in Dayton, she quickly found her voice on stage and in the community. Today, she hosts The Wright Mic, a lively open mic held every 2nd and 4th Thursday, 5281 Bellfontaine Ave Huber Heights, Ohio where comedians, poets, and performers come together to share their talents.

Beyond the microphone, Miss Kim G is also an accomplished author. She is the writer of the beloved five-book children’s series The Little Green Dress for beginning readers to celebrate their family traditions and legacy. Expanding her storytelling to new audiences, she is currently writing her upcoming adult fiction novel, Make Me Laugh.

Whether she’s hosting, writing, or building platforms for others to shine, Miss Kim G continues to uplift her community through comedy, creativity, and heart. 🎤📚✨

This is more than just an open mic. It’s a new comedy outlet for Huber Heights, something that hasn’t really been done here before. A space where comedians can sharpen their sets, singers and spoken word artists can try their talents, and the community can simply come out, relax, laugh, and enjoy themselves.

I’m working hard to bring more grown activities to the Heights, and I would love for you to be part of it from the beginning. Every great thing starts with a few people who believe in the vision.
