The spring Mitzvah season wrapped up last night with an absolute rager as a wild crowd celebrated Sydney & Morgan's B'not Mitzvah – for which I'm only sharing a behind-the-scenes teaser for now!

My deepest thanks to the great many families who have trusted me with their most precious events over the past many months (not to mention the businesses, non-profits, and individuals who have done the same). It was a season of growth; I'm sitting on a backlog of 15+ events to post on here, with several more in the editing process.

When is traffic a good thing? Well, let me tell you about Brooklyn's preshoot!

We met at the beach just as a huge storm was hitting. After grabbing some quick shots, we agreed to regroup another day.

However, the rain drove everyone to their vehicles, and this location has only a single exit lane. I decided to wait things out at a nearby restaurant rather than deal with traffic.

About 30 minutes later, the sky cleared, a magnificent rainbow appeared, and I texted Brooklyn's dad, "It's too bad you left!" But because of the traffic, they hadn't even made it out of the parking lot. So they parked, we started over, and in the process got the rainbow and some beautiful post-storm light. What you see here is just a sneak-peek.

Brooklyn and her family were real troopers, and a joy to work with. Her Bat Mitzah is going to be amazing!

While I was at the Hyundai Air & Sea Show in Miami Beach yesterday to photograph certain attendees rather than the aircraft, I of course could not help myself from stretching the limits of my more event-focused equipment to get what I could of the astounding displays of skill and technology presented by the brave men and women of our armed forces. This Memorial Day, we remember and honor the sacrifices made by their colleagues and predecessors in the name of protecting us all.
