Silly Heroes Inc.

The Red Skelton show is where I got the idea to try to create several silly superhero characters. I always enjoyed his Freddie the Freeloader, Clem Kadiddlehopper, and Sheriff Deadeye characters as well as the others. It's fun to create different characters and then try to give each a different personality and I hope the characters I come up with will be entertaining although I will never be a Red Skelton.

Also Today in Cool History:
Sept. 30, 1951 - "The Red Skelton Show" debuted on NBC TV. During its run, the program received three Emmy Awards; in 1959 Skelton also received a Golden Globe for Best TV Show.
A few of his many characters shown here: (L-R) Clem Kadiddlehopper, Freddie the Freeloader, Cauliflower McPugg, San Fernando Red, Willie Lump-Lump, Deadeye.

Each of our family members had their favorite shows, but this is one we all agreed on.

I was in the Caswell Messenger for a Back to School event that I helped with. Truly blessed to see the community come together and so many families were there despite the heat.

September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month. If you see someone struggling, say something nice and let them know you care. You never know how much a few kind words can help someone who is going through a tough time decide to keep trying and not give up.
