Just wrapped up an incredible few days at the TEXSOM Conference 2025 in Dallas – what a milestone for this premier wine education event, now celebrating its 20th anniversary since founding in 2005! Here is a recap of what I learned and tasted:
Over the course of 2 1/2 days, I tasted an extraordinary array of wines from around the globe, including selections from:
📌Georgia (the country!)
📌Lebanon
📌Turkey
📌France
📌Italy
📌Australia
📌New Zealand
📌Chile
📌Argentina
Domestic wines from:
📌Texas
📌California
📌Oregon
📌Virginia
📚The seminars were pure gold! I dove into tastings focused on aged wines, exploring how maturity reveals layers of complexity and terroir.
🍷📚Lunch and learns were equally unforgettable:
🍇Wines of Georgia's session highlighted their indigenous grapes and sustainable practices, while Louis Jadot's session showcased Zind-Humbrecht Alsatian Rieslings and Chardonnay from Chablis and Santenay.
😊But the real magic? The people! I forged new friendships with industry pros from across the country and the world – sommeliers, educators, producers, and fellow enthusiasts. It was an honor to learn from highly acclaimed experts like Master Sommeliers and MWs leading the charge in seminars and tastings. TEXSOM truly builds community through inclusivity and camaraderie, and I left feeling recharged about the future of wine.
🔥This experience only fuels my excitement for wine and how I can help others – whether you're a beginner or a pro – learn more, build confidence, and have fun with it through my tastings and events at Wine with Kelley.
