Homecoming Mums-It's All About Mums

The professional Homecoming Mum organization that I am a part of, Mums Inc ( www.mums-inc.com )was asked to make a mum for each school for this exhibit. Thank you Mumentous: The Texas Homecoming Mum project for asking us to be a part of this amazing project! So excited to see this post...go see the exhibit if you can!

I made the mums for Sachse and Naaman. Jessica Worley from www.gamedaymums.com made the South Garland and North Garland Mums. Chelsie Gaspard from www.chelsiesmums.com made the Garland Mum. Delaynie Peek from https://www.facebook.com/Sissysloot made the Lakeview Centennial mum. And last but not least, our esteemed President Shakisha Clark from www.dkmums.com made the Rowlett mum.

While you’re Downtown on Monday morning, soaking up all the local tradition of the 78th annual Garland Labor Day Parade, make sure to stop in at City Hall for the MUMENTOUS exhibit. While most City offices will be closed for the holiday, the City Hall lobby at 200 N. Fifth St. will be open for you to visit the exhibit from 8 a.m. to noon.

MUMENTOUS is a celebration of the Garland ISD’s take on how Homecoming mums are made bigger in Texas. Football, cheer and photo memorabilia of GISD Homecomings past are on display -- as well as an opportunity to weigh in and represent your school.
