This painting was a reception at the beautiful in Duncan, OK for Elaine and Sean. The father of the bride, commissioned the painting and my only direction was to paint the cocktail hour, which was great fun! I got a bit of the landscape in the background and the ‘hurricane clouds’ from one of the many storms that hit the Gulf last fall. Elaine and Joseph met when working together in the US Senate. Mr. Joseph said what so many of my clients say when they receive the final painting, ‘We received the painting from Elaine and Sean’s wedding reception. It is even more beautiful than I imagined. Thank you!’
Which goes to show that a photograph never does a painting justice. 🤣

I painted a beautiful wedding reception at the Houston Jr. League last night for Amanda and Michael. With the Texas blizzard of 2021, I decided to stay another night and avoid driving in the rain/snow, so I’m catching up on posts. Gorgeous floral by . of took these photos of me before and after. I will polish it up in my studio and add Coco, a beautiful fluffy kitty next to Amanda’s mom. 22x28 oil on canvas
