I am so deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Chef Anne Burrell. I was a huge fan of hers! She had one of the best shows on the Food Network called Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. I learned so much from that show - it should have stayed on forever. Every recipe I ever made from Anne was gold. She was funny, ballsy and authentic. She shared once that her mother loved celery root so she gave a bag of them for Christmas one year. I make her Thanksgiving turkey recipe every year - it’s delicious! I’m so confused by her death but the lesson remains - don’t take time for granted, make plans and do them! Savor life!

Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner. 🌶 Here's some inspo for your celebration - Green Chili Braised Pork Shoulder. I had this at Odd Duck, a farm-to-table restaurant in Austin, Texas. It was so good I had to recreate it for my clients. They served it with crema, pickled red onions, jalapenos, cilantro and wait for it...Naan.
