Back in 2023, I was just a local stay-at-home mom raising my girls. Before staying home for eight years, I had worked as a merchandise buyer for a women’s boutique, finding products people got excited to discover, gift, and take home. But honestly, I never imagined I’d own a business.
When we moved to Southlake, everyone told us the same thing: if you have little girls, you HAVE to go to Sweet & Sassy. It was one of those places people talked about with so much nostalgia and excitement.
So we did.
We celebrated my daughter’s 5th birthday there, a princess party that she absolutely loved. We went back for ear piercings, makeovers, special occasions… and every visit became part of our family memories.
But every time we went, I also found myself thinking… this place is already special, but it could be even more magical.
I noticed opportunities. Little things. Bigger things. Ways to make the experience feel more elevated, more exciting, more memorable for kids and easier for parents.
Then in 2025, an opportunity came up to purchase Sweet & Sassy Southlake.
And with a lot of anxiety, somehow… we said yes.
Going from stay-at-home mom to owning a children’s salon, spa, party business, and retail store has been one of the most challenging and rewarding things I’ve ever done.
We took ownership on January 7th, 2025 and have spent every day since trying to make it the most special place possible.
One of my favorite parts has been seeing longtime customers walk in and notice something new, a refreshed space, new products, better experiences, and watching their faces light up because a place they grew up loving feels alive again.
We still have so much to learn and so much we want to do.
But getting to create core memories for families in the same place where my own family made them… that part never gets old.
Funny how life works sometimes. You take your daughter to her birthday party… and two years later, they hand you the keys.
