For as long as I can remember, my grandmother—my sweet Nannie—was my biggest cheerleader when it came to love. She made the idea of getting married feel like the most magical thing in the world.
When I was just 15, we’d visit wedding dress boutiques “just to look.” We’d flip through bridal magazines in stores, dreaming up what my big day might look like. Every time we were together, the conversation would find its way back to my future wedding. She called me her princess and used to say, “You’ll kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince.” She knew I’d fall in love more than once, and always reminded me that the journey would be worth it. At 14, we planned my entire wedding on a single sheet of paper. She folded it neatly, placed it in her lockbox, and told me, “We’ll read this together the morning of your wedding day.”
But on March 20, 2023, my world changed—God called Nannie home.
Since then, wedding planning has taken on a deeper purpose. It’s no longer just about the aesthetics of a beautiful day—it’s about honoring her memory. It’s about carrying forward the love, excitement, and unwavering belief she had in my story, and pouring that same energy into others. I want to be the steady voice in the planning process, the calm in the chaos, and the reminder that their story is unique and worthy of celebration.
That’s also why the heart of my branding is deeply personal. Emerald green and yellow roses are woven into everything I do. Emerald was Nannie’s favorite color—and mine too. It feels like her: strong, timeless, and full of grace. Yellow roses, bright and joyful, remind me of the light she carried and symbolize new beginnings—both mine and those of the couples I get the honor of celebrating.
Every love story deserves to be celebrated with the same magic Nannie believed in—and Hannah Saffle Weddings is how I carry that magic forward. 💛
