Most people think event coordination is about decor.

It's actually about the email, phone calls, and meetings. 🤍

This week alone: vendor calls, sponsorship conversations, walkthroughs, timeline revisions, and a dozen small decisions.

That's the work. Not the pretty part — the part that makes the pretty part possible.

When I coordinate an event, I'm not just showing up on the day. I'm the person fielding every vendor question, chasing every confirmation, and building the plan that lets the host walk in and actually be present.

I disappeared for a minute.

Not because things slowed down — because they didn’t. A Reset Series event, coordination work for Seasoned Conversations, and a Bloom Bar that’s grown into something.

I kept choosing the work over documenting the work. I’d do it again. But I missed you.

So here’s what’s coming: sleepover season for fall birthdays. The Bloom Bar has new pieces I’m genuinely excited about. A first for us. 🌸

Last weekend, our Bloom Bar made its debut at Reset & Realign — and watching guests gather their own stems to carry home was every bit as sweet as we hoped.

The Bloom Bar is our flower bar experience: a soft, hands-on moment that adds beauty and intention to any gathering. Showers, birthdays, weddings, wellness mornings, brand moments — anywhere you want guests to slow down and take a little something home.

What many people don't see is the coordination behind a morning like this.

Vendor timing. Tablescape design. The run of show. The quiet hours of setup before the first guest arrives. The behind-the-scenes calm that lets the host stay fully present.

This past weekend, I had the honor of coordinating Seasoned Conversations — an intimate brunch built around identity, reclamation, and return — created and hosted by Ebony at thrive.empowered.
