Often when planning our dream wedding, we put too much effort into trying to stand out or think outside the box.
Let us be the first to tell you that not every element of your wedding day needs to be unique. If it isn't broke, don't fix it!
When it comes to wedding flowers, classic and popular blooms will always do.
Rather than stressing about the type of flower you're using during your ceremony and reception, opt for color variations to help make your floral arrangements pop.
Below are ten tried-and-true wedding flowers that will be instant hits on your big day:
🏵️ Peonies
🌸 Garden Roses
🏵️ Anemones
🌸 Ranunculuses
🏵️ Dahlias
🌸 Sweet Peas
🏵️ Hydrangeas
🌸 Lilacs
🏵️ Hellebores
🌸 Lilies of the Valley
Do you have even more floral questions? Tag your florist and let's get their thoughts!

To say that wedding prep can be stressful might be an understatement.
But with the right tools in your toolbelt, there are ways you can avoid the added stress and focus your energy on aspects of your wedding that matter most.
How, you may ask?
Here are a few of our favorite tips to master the ideal stress-free wedding:
Set expectations from the get-go: From the first moment of planning, you need to stay firm with the expectations for your event. If you want your vendors to follow specific rules or be on time, communicate this. If you want certain people to refrain from the planning process, this should also be communicated. Sticking to your guns can help keep things running smoothly.
Consider hiring a wedding planner: These wedding team members are waiting to take away all the stress for you. They can help you navigate hiring vendors, budgeting, picking out menus, and everything in-between. They are the stress relief you need during your planning process!
What else does it take to plan a stress-free wedding? Tag your planner an see what they think!

The color scheme of your wedding may hold more weight on your big day than you might have thought.
The way you utilize color and the mixing and matching of different shades, colors, and hues can set the tone for your big day.
Unsure of what colors work with each other, or are you afraid that your select color scheme isn't appropriate for your seasonal wedding?
Here are a few go-to color combos that will work for your wedding, no matter the time of year:
🧡 Mint, gold, and peach
💖 Pink, grey, and ivory
💛 Navy, yellow and white
💚 Coral, teal, and light grey
💜 Purple, silver, and blue
❤️ Red, black, and taupe
Tag a bride that could use these ideas and feel free to share!

When discussing your wedding theme with your planner, are you hung up on the terms boho and rustic?
Many couples use these words almost interchangeably, unaware that there is quite a difference between the two.
In terms of wedding style, boho is all about mixing up colors and opting for more alternative decor and decorations. This is a more free-spirited approach to a wedding. Think fringe and macramé, as well as patterns and more diverse color palettes.
A boho wedding style should not be confused with a rustic wedding. Rustic weddings are known for their more natural color palette. Rustic places importance on more organic shapes and textures such as wood, lace, and rough linens. Think something like a barn wedding.
Need more differentiation between boho and rustic wedding styles? Check with your planner for more info.

As more and more couples contemplate the addition of food trucks and carts to their reception, there's one major aspect that might often be overlooked: aesthetics.
While it's ultimately about the food, the overall aesthetic of your reception and the food trucks should complement each other. Trucks not only come in different food options but also many shapes, sizes, and colors.
You may want to plan accordingly.
If these trucks take prominence in your wedding photos, they shouldn't come across as an eyesore. No couple wants to look back on their special day and see brightly-colored food trucks ruining the feel of their black and white reception.

Offering gratuity and tipping your vendors and wedding dream team is a terrific way to show your respect for all they've done to help make your dream wedding a reality. Just imagine what your wedding would be like without them!
But, when all the final budgets are submitted, are you running the risk of tipping too little or too much?
Here's a breakdown of just how much to tip your wedding dream team:
💸 Officiant - on average, $50 to $100 or a donation to their church, synagogue, or place of worship
💸 Makeup /Hair Team - 15-20%
💸 Bartenders - 10-20% of the alcohol bill
💸 Catering Staff - 15-20% of the food and beverage bill
You may also choose to offer cash tips to other vendors like your Photographer (thank you!😀 )DJ, wedding planner, coordinator, or florist.

Having a catered wedding doesn't mean that you need to spend an arm and a leg. Any wedding planner will tell you that there are a variety of tips and tricks that you can use to help keep the cost of your wedding reception meal down.
Luckily for you, you don't need to book your wedding planner just yet; we've got the tips to help get you started!
Here are a few of our personal favorites:
Pick foods people love: if forced into paying for the food no matter how many heads, you might as well make sure your guests get their fill of foods they won't mind going back for seconds.
Shop local: Whenever possible, use local ingredients. Not only is it a great way to highlight your local farmers and sellers, but it can help drive costs down.
Book your caterer early: The sooner you book with a caterer, the lower the chance your go-to caterer will be unavailable on your big day. Failure to secure your dream caterer may force you to spend more money on catering costs than initially expected.

There's no bigger wedding day fail than a reception that seems all over the place and disjointed. When plotting the reception with your wedding planner, it may be essential to create a schedule of events that flows without interruption for both the newlyweds and their friends and family.
Unsure if your wedding reception has the proper flow to keep everything on track?
Here's a sample timeline of a successful reception:
Upon arrival: While the newlyweds take photos with their wedding party, guests should be enjoying a cocktail hour. 📷🍸
Hour one: By the time the cocktail hour ends, the happy couple should arrive and kick off the many traditions, such as the first dance and welcome speeches. Toward the end of the hour, the meal should also begin. 💃🍽️
Hours two and three: Dinner service should last for about an hour. Upon completion of dinner, most of the evening is spent on family dances, a money dance, tossing the bouquet, etc. 💐
Hour four: Cut the cake and let the party continue with dancing and music! 🍰
This rough timeline may change depending on the length of time you have booked with your venue, but it should help provide a framework for your celebration

You’ve heard of unity candles, unity sand, and even a unity cross in a wedding ceremony. How about a unity tree!? The parents of the bride and groom along with the couple add dirt and water to the young tree and the couple then plant it in their yard and mark its growth every year as a reminder of their commitment
