Dear friends, as a Hispanic female scientist and Little Beakers founder my goal is to make an impact for our future generations. When I was little, things were different. People laughed at me, even my teachers! when I said I wanted to be a scientist! After hundreds of publications and patents I've proven to others and myself that girls and minorities, like myself, are not only needed but very important for research and discoveries! Not only a diverse mind but diverse HEARTS that helps us solve problems. The mission for me and Little Beakers is to generate an amazing and diverse future scientists and engineers!!! Another super fun and educational camp! Kids dissected squids, sharks, octopus, jellyfish, starfish, salamanders, and learned so much about density by making and testing boats! Kids did a great job!!

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter! Please, go and try the classic boiled eggs Easter hunt! There's so much science in the chemical reactions taking place when the vinegar starts to react with the calcium carbonate in the egg shells! Better yet, if you have a microscope have the kids look into the pigmented shells. It's fascinating to see how the tiny pigments particles rush into the shell's pores!

Our students are finishing strong! Starfish, frogs, and sheep eye dissections, reactions, molecular building, research projects, and so much more!! Our preschool, home school, and after school kids did such a fantastic job despite the difficult year! We're extremely proud of their hard work and dedication. The scientific and medical research work is in their hands! All we can do is provide the knowledge and passion for science and the tools and skills to solve difficult problems. We know that a lot of these kids are going to change the world....just watch!
