Wedding budgeting comes with so many little questions couples don’t always expect - and one of the biggest is: “Who are we actually supposed to tip at a wedding?”

If your venue is all-inclusive and already includes catering, bartending, coordination, linens, setup, and more, it can feel confusing figuring out what gratuities are already covered and what is optional.

I recently answered a question from a bride planning her 2027 wedding who asked if couples tip:
• photographers
• coordinators
• florists
• bakers
• hotel staff..this is something almost every couple wonders while building their budget.

So, I put together a simple guide breaking down:
✔ Which vendors are commonly tipped
✔ Which vendors are sometimes tipped
✔ What may already be included in contracts
✔ How to avoid accidentally double-tipping
✔ What vendors genuinely appreciate besides gratuity

One of the biggest things I always tell couples is this:
Tips are appreciated, but they should never make you feel financially stressed during wedding planning.

Sometimes a thoughtful review, referral, kind message, or vendor tag online truly means just as much to small wedding businesses.
