Hi y’all! Sophia Rapata here.
This post is too long… but I don’t even care.
I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to thank so many people this much in my life.
The Hruby Ranch Revival was such a success for its first year with what little crew we had & I couldn’t be more proud!
Thank you T-Bear Koke & Stephan Jude for doing… well, EVERYTHING. Cutting trees, carrying bricks, mowing, calling & meeting people for months, promoting, giving your all AND more… soak it in, it was worth it.
We couldn’t have done it without Cathy White Cheffer & Kristina Garza organizing so many things, the food, the raffle, the decor, the volunteers, the replying, the getting anything we needed & didn’t even know we needed.
Thank you Melissa Ann for your artistry with painting the signs and all you did along the way.
Mack Wozniac for the photography & food.
Carly Rodgers & my dad Eddie for building the nest of branches for the Eagle’s Nest stage & decorating the trail in the woods.
William Young for being my right hand with decor, the merch table & tear down, donating art to the raffle & adding some kool Hruby Ranch Revival themed art along the trail.
Thank you SO MUCH to all who donated to the raffle! We’ll draw winners live this Thursday (tmrw) around 4:44PM! 📣🎟️
Thank you to all the vendors, bands, sound engineers, photographers, attendees & everyone who cleaned up after. It was spotless!
Bands, we apologize & will do better on getting more golf carts to transport your equipment quicker.
HUGE thanks to Tom Hruby, the owner of Hruby Ranch. You are the freakin’ best, for allowing us to throw on your property, & for being there during it & for supporting & believing in us.
Thank you Jordan Miedema, Ralphie, Rodney Golson, our medic Enrique Pulido, the Hobart Humane Society for the water, Peter Anderson for the 50 pizza’s from Gelsosomo’s Pizzeria & a huge thank you to all our volunteers!
We couldn’t have asked for better sound engineers.
Ryan Rush from JR Sound Co., Angel Jimenez from Region Underground Recordings & Chase Carlino kept the show running smoothly & absolutely killed it on sound.
I think I found out this weekend how powerful an event like this could be. Music, art & nature brings people together & heals. I think we all needed this.
The singalong around the fire was so beautiful & intimate. Ed Strudas, you inspire me.
Singin’ to my best friends with the sun goin’ down through the trees, Tristan throwing his hat to me on a stage he & Steven Gyure built that I helped decor all up… it was like a dream.
Kyle Murdock & I worked hard on our album & somehow got the most incredibly talented, cray cray creative, quick, down for anything, dedicated group of musicians playing with us to bring The Found Sounds to life!
I love all you guys, Ian Gill, Tommy Fell, Raymond Pollalis, let’s gooooooo!
One of my favorite moments was when Brother Brent's Dyes showed me his tapestries changing colors in the lights hanging in the woods. I was in awe of his work & later devastated to hear someone had taken 3 of them. Brent not only donated a tapestry to the raffle, he set up his art & soul for us to experience & enjoy. So we could have a beautiful experience, and we did.
Thank you Brent and I’m sorry.
To whoever took those 3 tapestries, just return them please. Drop them off at the ranch, a house, a bar, or anywhere one of us will eventually find them. That is not okay and you will never get away with it. Karma.
All in all, we just wanted to make an event where all our good friends could come together, put all our talents to use, play our original music, help give younger kids (our future generation), an opportunity to learn music, and create a family friendly event that focused on art, music, nature & community.
Thank you Edward Contreras for coming out with your squad and having so many of the HRR bands on Tiki Man Radio these past few months.
During the phone interview with Ed this past Monday, Tristan started tearing up while talking about all who helped. When the phone call ended he immediately started bawling… I’ve never seen him cry so hard, and it was because of all you guys. 🥲
I love him. I love the HRR crew. I love you all.
Thank you. 🫶
