HOUSTON COUNTY LAKE UPDATE. As of today, June 18, 2025, the lake is finally OPEN to all watercraft, because who doesn't love a good lake day? And, as luck would have it, the forecast is looking dry, which is just perfect for renting kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards from East Texas Paddle Port, our compelte self-service on-site rental kiosk. Our BOAT LAUNCH is fully open, so you can finally get your lake on.
