I rarely get a glimpse of a true golden hour. Between the rooftops and the power lines, for a few minutes it was glorious. I ran out and snapped some picks when I saw the sherbet sky reflecting off windows of the flower shed. It has been beautiful weather and even hit 80, but in mere weeks the weather will change. I am cleaning the plots, cutting down dahlias, saving seeds, clearing vines, and will have some Fall dahlia tubers and seeds available. 🌱Will make an announcement, but message if u have interest. Thanks

Heirloom dahlias are a thing. This one was introduced to the world in 1941. It took me a few yrs to find and really happy she's here. Bloomed well all season, perfect under 2" pompon blooms💜

This year, full sun and what a sweet surprise to see Roque Starburst again!
Such a huge, romantic bloom with the softest blush pink petals, just looking for a wedding bouquet to crash. Do you grow this one? I will have tubers of it for sale or trade.

It's time to start tagging your dahlia plants if u r digging and storing for winter. I use this flagging tape from Menards and this garden pen I sell on my site...it is the best. IDing your plants before Mr Frost arrives and turns them brown is a good thing. Then u r ready to dig when it is time & know what ya got!

On this final morning of Summer, the air is crisp and the dahlias abound as we prepare to welcome Autumn. 🍂 At 7:05 PM tonight, the seasons officially change, and what a beautiful way to celebrate the arrival of fall!....
Gather your pals for National Girls Night Out and join us at the Lemont Farmers Market. I'll be bringing armfuls of fresh-cut dahlias, everlasting bouquets, handcrafted wreaths, one-of-a-kind dahlia greeting cards, and perhaps even the season's first centerpiece pumpkins... if nature and the day allow. 🎃✨
I'm also happy to accept orders for dahlias and fall décor for pickup at the market.

I love the dahlias that have crazy hairdo's! Wyn's Eeeck! has arrived in time for spooky season. It is a Novelty bloom. 3 large blooms on 1 plant standing 4-4.5 ft tall. Sturdy plant and stems from young seedling to now. Wowee!!
