My name is Susan, I live in the little tourist town of Creede with my fun loving, energetic toddler Abigail, her handsome tea party playing daddy Ruben and our two slobbery dogs Troy and Brock. These two said “I do” at the Tack Shed at Bridal Bay in Lake City, and the backdrop doesn’t get much more stunning than this! A beautiful couple, the cutest kids, and such a wonderful venue. It was a pretty perfect Colorado wedding day!

There’s something extra special about photographing a family again and again through the years. 🤍 I’ve photographed this sweet crew more times than I can count!

This time, we headed to their place at Hermit Lakes…a setting that feels like them and made these photos even more meaningful. Beautiful light, a beautiful family, and the kind of evening that reminds me why I love what I do.

And a little local love - Emily is the heart behind Enduring Wellness Health Clinic in Del Norte. I always love getting to photograph the people behind the wonderful small businesses in our valley. 🤎

I love senior sessions like this - we skip what they are “supposed” to look like and capture who you really are in this season of life.

Creede is such a special place for so many, including Shelby. ❤️

This sweet girl had her senior session here and we were able to capture all of her favorite places in the area! From downtown to her grandparents’ ranch to a favorite bridge upriver, every spot meant something! Such an honor to document this season of her life in the place she loves most. Loved this Lake City family session!

A few years ago, their parents started bringing them every year to LC and now it’s a tradition that’s grown into one of those weeks everyone counts down to! Loved capturing their snuggles, giggles, little hands throwing rocks in the water - so many moments that can’t be posed.
