✝ Easter has always carried a special kind of hope for me. Growing up in south Louisiana, this day meant ☀sunshine, 💞family, 🦐seafood feasts, and that unmistakable feeling that spring had finally settled in for good.

But beyond the traditions and the food, Easter has always been about the greatest gift, the reminder that the story didn’t end on Friday. The tomb was empty. Our Savior rose. Grace won. And because of that, we get to walk in a love deeper than anything we could ever earn or imagine.

Now, as I’m here on the prairie, far from those Louisiana springtime tables, I’m reminded that resurrection shows up in all kinds of places in new beginnings, in second chances, in dreams taking shape, and in the quiet belief that beautiful things are still ahead.

Today I’m holding onto that hope.
That promise.
That love.

If you know me, you know words like bougie, eclectic, and phenomenal live in my everyday vocabulary and it's my way of adding a little sparkle✨ to the world. I love big words almost as much as I love big dreams so when it came time to name my shop, I knew it needed to feel familiar…but still make people pause and say, “Oh wow, this is different.”

Prairie is 🏡home. It’s our way of life here in south‑central Nebraska grounded, warm, and unmistakably us.

Paperie is the 〰️twist. It’s just different enough from “paper” to spark curiosity, to hint at creativity, to suggest that what we make here isn’t ordinary. It’s how things can be elevated, intentional, beautifully crafted.

Together, Prairie Paperie blends the familiar with the imaginative.
A name that feels like home…and a sweet, sparkly dream at the same time.

Yesterday I found myself on the floor surrounded by coffee‑table parts (yep, same one I never put together from December) and tools, and honestly… it felt like the perfect picture of Mom & Pop Business Owners Day.

As I work toward opening Prairie Paperie, I’m realizing more than ever how many 🎓🎩👒hats small business owners wear. We’re the accountants, the cleaners, the sales team, the procurement crew, the fix‑it squad and yes, the furniture put‑together-ers too. Watching so many of you do this every day reminds me that this dream of mine can be done.

So, here’s to all the 🏪Mom & Pop business owners out there making it happen in the messy, beautiful, all‑hands‑on‑deck way only small businesses can. You inspire me more than you know.
